Attorney Profile

Jessica’s legal experience includes both litigation and non-litigation work.  She has practice experience in civil rights, criminal defense, prisoner’s rights, bankruptcy, employment discrimination, family law, and landlord/tenant law.  Jessica also has extensive legislative experience and has drafted and managed legislation on a variety of issues including juvenile justice, family law, criminal law, and civil rights law.  Jessica is committed to doing her part to ensure that everyone, regardless of income, has access to quality legal services and she regularly does pro bono legal work. 

Prior to law school, Jessica worked in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries and was also a teacher in Los Angeles County, California.  She is a Center for Women in Government alumna Fellow.  Jessica is active in her community, and is a board member on several local organizations.

Jessica is admitted in New York State, in the Northern District of New York, and in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. She practices in both state and federal courts.

Jessica was the 2012 recipient of Prisoners' Legal Services "Paul J. Curran Award", awarded in recognition of her commitment to providing pro bono legal services to poor and disadvantaged individuals incarcerated in New York State.
